The Osservatorio di Pavia and Carta di Roma have organized six focus groups and fifteen in-depth interviews to explore the levels of knowledge, awareness and perception on Afrophobia and systemic discrimination against Africans or Afro-descendants in Italy.
The monitoring of the Osservatorio di Pavia for Greenpeace Italy on the visibility of the climate crisis in the Italian media, carries on. This time, the four-month period from 1 May to 31 August 2022 is under observation.

Since January 2022, the Osservatorio di Pavia has been responsible for screening the presence of the climate crisis in Italian news. The research, requested by Greenpeace Italy, aims to investigate how much attention such a relevant issue receives from newspapers, from the news and from a sample of information broadcasts.
In 2021, the attention to foreign countries in the Italian news grew. 29% of all the news was about abroad, the highest figure recorded in the last decade. Almost 1 in 3 of the news is dedicated to foreign countries, considering both foreign policy news and soft news that originates in third countries.
MEDIAted Africa is the dossier created by Amref in collaboration with the researchers of the Osservatorio di Pavia to analyse how the African continent is represented on TV, in newspapers and on social media. In the third edition of the dossier MEDIAted Africa, in addition to the quantitative analysis, it was decided to deepen the representation of Africa and Afro-descendants in the world of sport.
